Tis the Season to be Broke?

Tis the season to be broke?

tis the season to be brokeChristmas is intended to be a Merry time… thus the name “Merry Christmas” (insert sarcastic tone here)

So why is this season filled with stress, anxiety and general “un-merryment”?

Much of it is steeped in money, spending money, lack of money, followed by unpaid credit cards and a painful lower credit score.

I read a great article on MSN that outlines 12 holiday money mistakes to avoid.

Here’s a brief excerpt to whet your appetite so click on the link and read the whole article…

“If you’re not careful, you can end up taking a year to pay for all the spending. More than 13 million shoppers are still paying off last year’s holiday debts, according to Consumer Reports.”

Have a Happy, stress free and budget conscious Christmas :)
