Is 600 a Good Credit Score?

Is 600 a Good Credit Score?

is 600 a good credit scorePeople are always asking if there credit score is good or not.

For some reason “is 600 a good credit score“? seems to be a very popular question.

Oddly enough my answer today would be different than it was a few years back.

600 was a decent credit score before the economy began tightening up and now is it not considered all that strong.

Prior to the downturn banks were much more liberal with their lending but have since begun only lending with premium interest rates, or lend at all to those with much higher credit scores.

The good news to those with a 600 credit score is…

Your score could definitely be far worse so you have far less improving to do than many others.

Take your 600 credit score, fine tune your financial habits and before you know it you will be in with the upper echelon enjoying the best lenders have to offer.

What’s Your Credit Score Reason?

What’s Your Credit Score Reason?

whats your credit score reasonEveryone who has a low credit score has a “reason”…

What’s your credit score reason?

Mahatma Gandhi said: “You can chain me, you can torture me, you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind.”

Our minds are our most powerful tool in creating the future we desire.

So anything that hinders, distracts, clouds or controls our mind will effectively stop us, divert us or slow us down from achieving our financial goals and dreams.

If you have the depth of resolve that NOTHING will imprison your mind than I’m pretty sure all your reasons” will mysteriously dissolve.”

Keep your mind laser focused on the goal…

Good Credit Scores are Possible.

Good Credit Scores are Possible

“We must do that which we think we cannot.”
– Eleanor Roosevelt, first lady

Usually the largest obstacle to improving your credit score is in your mind.

After people have settled into habits with how they pay (or don’t pay) their bills, how they handle credit and once they’re used to a certain credit score range at times it’s only the first step that is difficult.

Falling into the mindset that it will never be different or that you aren’t able to do what it takes cripples many people from even trying.

We all have the ability to change and form new habits.

You deserve the best credit score and the associated benefits so don’t allow yourself to believe anything different.

The difference between where you are and where you want to be is not an unspannable chasm but rather a series of small manageable steps.

Take your first step towards a much better credit score today.

Success and your Credit Score is a State of Mind…

success and your credit score is a state of mindRhonda Byrne of the Secret has a great quote on “Happiness” that I have modified slightly to relate to “Success” which I feel relates equally well.

Success is a state of being, and comes from the inside of you. You must become on the inside what you want on the outside.
You are either choosing to be successful now, or you are making up excuses for not choosing to be successful.

If your inner world believes you are unsuccessful than you can have the greatest opportunities in the world in your outer world and it will be of no value…

However if your inner world is one of success than your outer world will automatically become so.

Of course, your credit score will benefit greatly as well!

Credit Score Opportunity…

credit score opportunityPurpose creates an opportunity for value creation. Passion
follows purpose. Passion creates energy, money is attracted to energy.”
– Garrett Gunderson: is an entrepreneur and author

I know many very capable people who are extremely intelligent and know the best thing to do in most business or financial situations and yet so often they don’t.

Seeing this often has helped me understand the need for emotional drive in spurring us on in our goals.

How often do you see the under dog win the championship, contest, award or trophy and the only thing setting them apart is their passion and desire?

Most of us know the steps we need to take to make our credit score better but being honest here, I don’t always take them myself.

Why is this?

Sometimes I just get comfortable and am not motivated enough.

Then when I get tired of paying too much interest I gain some passion and make some changes.

Dig deep… find your passion for a better financial future and take advantage of this credit score opportunity

What is Your Normal Credit Score?

what is your normal credit score“The mind, once expanded to the dimensions of larger ideas, never returns to its original size.”

— Oliver Wendell Holmes: was an Associate Justice of
the Supreme Court of the United States

What is your normal credit score?

The reason I ask is since most of us are creatures of habit we tend to become comfortable with where things are at.

So unless properly motivated it’s easy to say “my credit score is good enough”.

One reason I’ve resisted change in my life in the past is because I wonder if once I reach a new level if I will be able to maintain it?

How many “things” in your life that you enjoy would you not have a hard time no longer having?

When we get used to nice things we find a way to keep them.

After doing the work to increase your score and begin enjoying the value it adds to your lifestyle I am sure you will figure out how to maintain a good credit score.

Expand you mind and financial position…

Rise to Greatness and Raise Your Credit Score!

rise to greatness and raise your credit score“It is the nature of man to rise to greatness if greatness is expected of him. ”
– John Steinbeck, author

As a self-employed businessman the one thing I find very challenging is my lack of external motivation to meet my goals.

I have no deadlines to complete my work, I don’t have a boss I answer to and I have no set work schedule.

Now in many ways I love the freedom and flexibility but the downside is sometimes I need a kick in the pants to get stuff done.

Accountability is a wonderful thing and can go a long way in helping someone achieve their goals.

So if there isn’t someone in your life expecting greatness from you than find someone and become accountable to them.

Tell them you want to raise your credit score from “x” and get it up to “y” in a set amount of time. Tell them the steps you intend to take and when you plan to accomplish them and then give them the authority to call you on these deadlines.

You can accomplish greatness… I expect you to!!!

740 Credit Score Mind Shift…

740 credit score mind shift“Success is waking up in the morning and bounding out of bed because there’s something out there that you love to do, that you believe in, that you’re good at – something that’s bigger than you are, and you can hardly wait to get at it again.”
– Whit Hobbs

There’s at least 2 different ways to respond to this quote…

1. Rush out and quit your job if you don’t love it… and it’s EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YOU KNOW I AM NOT TELLING YOU TO DO THIS!!!!!!

2. Shift your perspective on what you do. Sometimes when I feel in a rut with my work I spice it up by making it a competition with myself…

- I may dare myself to take on a new challenge…
- Bet myself I can’t reach a certain goal in a set time period…
- Think of my tasks as a puzzle to be solved, a treasure to be hunted or a mystery to uncover…this can give mundane tasks some life, intrigue or at least renew some lost interest.

Bet, dare and or challenge yourself to increase your credit score at least “X’ number of points within the next 90 days…

I dare you to try the 740 credit score mind shift!!!

How Merry Will Christmas be if it Ruins Your Credit Score?

how merry will christmas be if it ruins your credit scoreChristmas is coming fast and with it comes the frenzy of decorating, baking, planning parties and of course hitting the malls to buy Christmas presents for the special people in our life.

Generosity is a commendable character trait but doing so at the expense of your financial health, debt load and hurting your credit score is not advisable.

This year be sure to only spend within your means… remember the feeling of January’s past when you opened your credit card bill and cringed.

Do you think the people close to you would really want some big fancy present if they knew it was going to negatively impact your financial position or cause you anxiety and stress?

Get creative with gifts… go in on presents with another friend… make a gift… or just lower your spending budget per person.

Make this Christmas Merrier than ever by giving yourself a New Years present of a manageable credit card bill.

Happy shopping!
